On the Second Date of Christmas we walked the border and watched a beautiful sunset…
A few weeks ago, on the First Date of Christmas we decorated that tree! One of my absolute fave days of the year!
Listening to Christmas music with LeLe and bump while getting that wee tree sparkly was kinda fun.
So here we are… 16 days to Christmas and 10 to Ireland…and the countdown continues! We are super busy fitting in as many Christmassy things here in China, celebrating the true reason for the season, having kids parties, final exams this week in uni, student parties, Carol singing, dinners with friends and saying our goodbyes! phew…it’s gonna be fun!
Merry Christmas!
Last year we started a special Christmas tradition called “12 Dates of Christmas”. Basically you each write down six small dates, mix them up and seal them…it’s supposed to be a surprise but because we were so busy with events I wrote them on the calendar to make sure they happened!!:) They definitely helped us to enjoy our first Christmas far away from home and spend some quality time together amidst the chaotic schedule we both had….Thinking of traditions we would like to carry on until we’re old and wrinkled. This is one of them!
Here’s a little photo recap of last year…
I’m looking forward to this year’s “12 dates of Christmas” since it will be the last as a family of 2!! Woooho!
