9 months

Well my little reindeer turned 9 months a few weeks ago but since this morning she decided to start crawling around our bedroom I decided to snap some pictures just to remember today. freezing cold. sleety snow. runny noses and all.

To Miss Summer Faith: things you do & love

can stand up in your cot (almost gave us a heart attack one morning!)
make yourself giggle
flap those arms
LOVE wheaten bread and Nana’s stew (and all food really)!
adopted some late night habits (ooops!)
play peek-a-boo
have the best gummy smile around
love story time, and flicking those pages
giggle at your reflection in the mirror
love bouncing up and down
love being upside down :/
love holding the TV remotes
have a ticklish neck
…and as of today crawl!!!

(a very proud Mama moment).

‘With each new day and careful appreciation, I get to open my gift that is motherhood…’ so true A. Watters!

6 months. 6 of the best.

6morning 6monthtoesI can’t believe our little Miss Sunshine is already six months old! As much as it seems like the past 6 months have flown by, I can’t even remember what life was like without her. I know these are all the icky cliche things that all Mums say, but it’s genuinely how I feel so lets just roll with that! Summer is sitting up and starting solids and always finding a way to grab long hair when it’s in reach and pull it ever so hard (they really do start young at this, huh!!). She’s also travelled to 5 different countries, flown thousands of miles, met some wonderful people and always been such a trooper, my mama heart is so proud!

Filed under things I never want to forget:

your sloppy wet kisses all day, every day
early morning conversations in bed
the sparkle in your eyes when you see Sophie
your obsession with iPhones
the sound of that giggle
your curious and super sweet nature

She’s our little reminder to keep it positive around here and we love her for it. Summer baby you’re awesome. We love you.

One Month

I have learned so many things this past month as I’ve become a mother. I’ve learned a lot about babies. I’ve learned a lot about my own baby girl. And I’ve learned a lot about myself too, how to function on a little less sleep (kind of) and type with one hand (kind of, again). I’ve learned that it’s ok to let other people help you… even if you think you can do it all on your own!! and I’ve learned how to let some things go and just sit beside my baby and take it all in.

This little girl is constantly growing and changing and she’s absolutely wonderful…my goodness one month looks good on you Summer.

Summer’s latest:
smells great
has the sweetest expressions
smiled in the bath this morning
sounds a little bit like a donkey when sleeping (very adorable)
…and loves being all wrapped up in the Solly, sleepin’ on people, snuggling in bed with Mum and Dad in the wee hours and bath time of course.

And finally a video to Summer…couldn’t have said it better myself!

Little one, today you turned one month old.

I’m exited for our journey ahead.

Don’t forget, you’re awake, you’re awesome

…and we’re really glad you’re here.
