Fall Fest

It’s getting a little chillier over here and I’m kinda excited about it! Summer in the city was a good one, but I have to admit I’m enjoying welcoming this new season with it’s crunchy Autumn leaves, crockpot dinners and pumpkin spiced everything!!

Over the weekend, we walked to the Zoo for it’s last weekend of Fall Fest, and it was super fun! We spend the afternoon on top of mountains of hay or running around the corn maze with little Miss S in tow! Heart bursting with happiness at all the little things we’ve got to experience and see as a family of 3.

Summer’s new Space

Well, after 6 months, we did it…we moved out and gave Summer the bedroom Living in a one bedroom apartment (with a one year old) definitely comes with a few challenges and we have been constantly changing things up, moving things around and trying to find the best fit for our little family. But I’ve had LOTS of fun making this new space of ours home! We know that years down the road we will talk about this tiny apartment with happy memories! I’m kinda pleased with how her room turned out, it’s been wonderful to see her play in the middle of the floor early in the morning or chill out in her cozy corner with a book after lunch! Knowing that the room is functional, fun, and pretty, makes it all worth it…

Summer’s cozy new room…

Summer in the City

Summer in the city, people! It doesn’t get better than this…I think we’re all excited for days full of playground and splash pad hopping all over the city. Throw in burgers and milkshakes and well enough said! So some of the girls and I checked out the Millennium splash pad with the kiddos today and we were not disappointed! Chicago you’re forgiven for that cra-zzzy winter!
