Let them be Little // Easter Nests

easternests6 easternests7 easternests easternests5 easternests1 easternests8 easternests10 easternests2 easternests3

Yay! It’s Easter Weekend. We made some Easter nests yesterday when it rained all day and we were dreaming of Spring…

I love these little traditions I get to do with my girl! I’m also pretty proud of myself for letting Summer at it with the chocolate, clearly SHE HAD A BALL and went straight to the bath afterwards!!

So it’s pretty obvious but here’s what you need:
8oz plain chocolate, broken into pieces
2 tbsp golden syrup
2oz butter
3oz cornflakes
36 mini chocolate eggs

1. Line a 12-hole fairy cake tin with paper cases. 2. Melt the chocolate, golden syrup and butter in a bowl. Stir the mixture until smooth. 3. Remove the bowl from the heat and gently stir in the cornflakes until all of the cereal is coated in the chocolate. 4. Divide the mixture between the paper cases and press 3 chocolate eggs into the centre of each nest. Chill in the fridge for 1 hour, or until completely set. ENJOY.

Saturday Pancakes

Whipping up pancakes together in our tiny, unheated kitchen, listening to music and chatting about our weeks…it’s moments spent like this that make me feel pretty darn blessed.

p.s Phil captured Le Le’s CRAZY ‘quit fooling around and take me for a walk’ face perfectly here!! A face only a mother could love…oh and us!
